I was recently mindblown by the capabilities the future holds for mobile domain. Having worked previously in augmented reality domain I wanted to try the new Eureca app available on apple store. All I can say is that this app has a huge potential to be a game changer in the education industry.

Do you remember your primary school? I do. We had those charts about learning and books with animal pictures and corresponding identification words. A for apple and B for ball etc. Along came the names of vegetables and fruits and other objects. That was fun yet for me there was a little lag. I identified the objects better in pictures rather than in reality. There was no such immersive learning experience at that time.

This app totally challenges the way we learn. It provides an interactable world using augmented reality where a kid or an adult can interact and play with the apple and the ball while he learns to identify it. It's like paying assassins creed where the whole world is intractable but the world in Eureca is actually your own house!!

That blew my mind and that's why I finally decided to blog about this masterpiece. I have seen pokemon go and played with it. That was restricted, we got tired of the game real fast. But this app has just no restriction. It has some starter packages and its more of a platform to learn anything while immersing yourself and your senses in the augmentation itself.

I am 100% sure that if a teacher or parent uses the app to teach his/her kids these learning modules, the impact factor and the rate of learning will huge. Let's see few aspects of the app:

There are animal and object modules where a kid learns to identify animals and their sounds by interacting with them in his/her own house. This tiger above is from the app itself. Below is a picture of a user interacting with the tiger as well.

There are modules for learning geometry and identify shapes. The main siri like guide helps you all through the app to level up and learn cool stuffs by asking you questions and giving you answers.

There are modules about geography and solar systems and as much I know they are working hard on adding more and more experiences and learning modules each day.

All in all this app is striking the hammer right where it needs to strike. The best use of science is to learn and grow.

From my perspective, this is a great app and if you got a new iphone and ipad you must give it a try.

Let me know what you think!
